I started this blog in December 2015 when I started to become seriously interested in bird-watching after observing an osprey nest where I was working. I’ve always loved animals and nature my whole life and studied earth and environmental science in university. Mostly, I write about birds and nature observations, sometimes delving deeper into science. I find joy in observing and appreciate the little things of beauty in our world and I want to share that with you.
From 2015 to November 2018, I lived on Vancouver Island and now I am in Oregon, so my posts tend to focus on Pacific Northwest nature though I love travelling and getting further out in the world, too, so some posts cover other places. And, I also love cats!
I do my best to make all of my own original content on my blog (photos, text, graphics), but anything that is not my own is clearly cited. Any knowledge or facts that are not from my own brain are also appropriately cited.
Thanks for the lovely comments on our blog. I’ve been reading yours, on and off, for the last hour or so while we are on the road and am enjoying it. Loved the otter pictures, we are always trying to spot wildlife wherever we go. And we’re getting into birding as well. I look forward to learning more from your blog!

Thanks! When I came across yours yesterday, you can tell I did the same thing. I just love that you’ve taken off in a RV with your pets and living life, I hope it is going well! I look forward to reading more of your adventures and I am sure you will see lots of wildlife and birds on your travels. 🙂

Really great this blog. I just had a sneakpeak. I am a nature lover as well, as you know from the Plaza and seen my photos there. I will try to create a site too, where I can post my stuff as well. I miss that little now. Wonderful photos on this page. I adore this. Thank you for sharing! *hugs*
